December 2023 Recommendation
The author, Hadassa Munoz-Rivera, takes the reader on a journey of self-discovery, personal evolution, and empowerment. The book is a testament to the author’s unique writing style, which connects emotionally and intellectually with readers. She writes in poetry and prose and engages us to accompany her on her voyage from her beloved island of Puerto Rico to the kaleidoscopic experiences on the mainland. In Dr. Pauline Crawford's Foreword, Hadassa's "energy, love, empathy, and wisdom emanate from each page, igniting a sense of connection for all seekers of the truth". Hadassa provides us with a toolkit for our own transformation and even adds pages at the end, for reflections. As I read the book, I felt a friend was writing me a love letter with each chapter.
